The story of Intraco

Intraco UAE Limited was established in Jafza as a foreign company in 1989 to meet the Construction Industry demand for quality glass products. The group of companies has its presence throughout the Middle East and the USA. Intraco specialises in the supply of architectural glass for the building’s external façade.

The company has a number of suppliers under its umbrella that cater to providing different types and colours of glasses. This variety and range of different quality glass products within the UAE and across the Middle East is what makes Intraco stand out.

The Growth Trajectory

After much comparison, Intraco found Jafza to be the best free zone to inaugurate their business operations in the UAE. Since its inception, Intraco UAE has expanded its sales force not only in the UAE but also across the MENA region in countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and African countries. Each country is technically equipped, and conduct value-add discussions with Architects, Designers and Owners in order to assist with choosing the right product as per their requirements.

Being based out of Jafza, helped the company expand its operations seamlessly over the years across the region and internationally. The company went on to take major projects across these locations including the Opus Tower, Gulf Air Tower, Yas Island Yacht Club, Abu Dhabi Financial Centre, Tamani Art Centre, Radisson Blue Dubai Silicon, One JLT, Al Jazeera Residential Tower, Capital Centre Tower and many more within the UAE.

With their ideology of taking their client’s vision and turning them into reality, Intraco has been able to offer quality products and timely deliverables within stipulated budgets

Jafza’s Ideal Paradigm for Intraco

Intraco’s decision to be based out of the leading free zone was firm as they were confident in the capabilities and stability that Jafza could provide in the years to come.

Today, the company prides itself on being a part of the Jafza family for more than 3 decades. Jafza exudes its strength by reflecting the policies introduced by the government that aims to support the growth of the private sector companies in the UAE. This ecosystem creates a perfect launchpad for companies in the construction, metal and steel sectors; the revenue that contributes greatly to the country’s economy.

Along with world-class infrastructure, DP World’s flagship free zone offered unrestricted ownership and a simplified requirement process to establish their operations in the UAE. The commencement of business was further simplified with Jafza sponsoring the branch staff which led to the minimum requirement for new documentations to be processed with other government entities. From day one of establishing their business in Jafza, Intraco has plunged into its operations immediately without any hindrances.

As a glass trading company, the company needed an office as well as a warehousing facility. The free zone’s strategic location, access to world-class port facilities and multimodal connectivity enabled Intraco to expand its business operations across the MENA Region. The flow of Intraco’s cargo and goods in and out of Jebel Ali port was a cakewalk due to the ease of documentation and assistance from Jafza’s well-informed and helpful staff.

Over the years, Jafza has adapted to the ever-changing technological advancements and has introduced the best innovations to serve its customers. It has also introduced initiatives in line with the policies introduced by the government to boost the private sector. This efficient adaptation to change and a continuous endeavour to innovate is one of the major reasons that make Jafza the ideal paradigm for Intraco and many other companies. It has led customers like us to trust and build a strong and lasting relationship with the free zone

Remarkable Experience with Jafza’s Service

Jafza has always listened to its customers’ needs and supported businesses in every way possible. With its business growing rapidly, Intraco built its second warehouse in South Zone – Jafza in 2008. At the time, the roads were not paved, and it became an issue to commute heavy duty trucks to the warehouse. The issue was voiced by Intraco to Jafza officials and the process to pave the roads was expedited. Within a month’s time, the road around the area was fully functional.

The rent for the South Zone warehouse was not increased for the next five years. This is one of the remarkable experiences that Intraco has had with the free zone. The company strongly believes that Jafza truly understands the small and big things that impact a business and moves forward with a solution-based approach.
