Hunter Foods is a leading company manufacturing and packaging innovative, alternative and “Better for You” snacks and foods, headquartered in Jafza, Dubai, UAE. Hunter Foods was established in 1985 and was among the first companies to open in Jafza.

The late Founder and Chairman Mr. Bharat Narayan built a successful business based on strong ethical values, with the brand’s Safari, Aladin and Ali Baba. These snacks have truly become the all-time favourites and lunch-box-musts of the 80s and 90s of Dubai, if not the Gulf region.

Since 2004, the company went through a decade of challenging times, which were eventually turned around when Ananya and Yan, Mr. Bharat Narayan’s son and daughter-in-law, took over the company in 2014. They revived the business to its current state by rebuilding relationships with business partners and suppliers, rolling out a new premium snack and food brand Hunter’s Gourmet, and launching many products under Hunter’s Gourmet with attractive packaging and Better For You commitment. The company was transformed by being innovative, consistently delivering on the promise and commitment to their customers and consumers and continuously providing a wide range of on-trend/in-demand products that satisfy the market.

Product Innovation

Hunter Foods produces a wide range of speciality and gourmet packaged snacks and foods such as Hand Cooked Potato Chips, Vegetable and Fruit Chips, Quinoa Chips, High Protein Lentil Chips, Wholegrain Brown, Red and Black Rice Chips, Baked Pretzel Chips, Organic Superfoods, etc… all under its own brands. The company also distributes other international Better For You brands of Granolas, Nuts, Oat Biscuits and Oats.

With its long history in the U.A.E., Hunter Foods supplies to all major retailers and food service establishments (airline, hotel, restaurants, catering companies, etc.), while exporting to countries in 5 continents, with a strong presence in Asia. The company has been HACCP compliant since 2006 and Halal certified since 2017. In 2018, Hunter Foods proudly received FSSC 22000 VER. 4.1 compliance certificate in snack food manufacturing segment, in addition to the received compliance certificates of ISO 22000 and Verified Exporter by Dubai Exports under Government of Dubai and SGS.
