MOSOLF launches automotive hub in Jafza to expand vehicle processing capacity

New facility adds 161,000 sq ft of specialised vehicle storage and preparation services
In 2025, Jebel Ali Port handled nearly 1.1 million vehicles
Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) has welcomed a new automotive logistics facility established by Germany-based MOSOLF, adding specialised vehicle storage, inspection and technical preparation capacity and strengthening Jafza’s position as a regional automotive trade hub.
The expansion comes as RoRo volumes handled through Jebel Ali Port grew 15% year-on-year, increasing demand for specialised vehicle processing and preparation capacity across regional distribution networks.
The new facility spans 161,000 square feet in total, including open vehicle storage and a nearly 11,000-square-foot warehouse equipped for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and technical vehicle preparation services. The site has been fully operational since March this year.
The facility enhances Jafza’s integrated automotive logistics ecosystem, enabling manufacturers and distributors to streamline supply chains, improve vehicle readiness and reduce time to market across regional distribution networks. By combining MOSOLF’s 70 years of automotive logistics expertise with Jafza’s multimodal connectivity and logistics infrastructure, the facility introduces new value-added services that support automotive trade flows through Dubai.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global COO, Parks & Economic Zones, DP World, said: “The MOSOLF facility strengthens Jafza’s growing automotive ecosystem by introducing specialised vehicle processing and technical services that add value for manufacturers and distributors operating across regional markets. By continuing to attract specialised automotive logistics providers, Jafza is enabling faster, more efficient and more flexible supply chains for the global automotive sector.”
Dr. Joerg Mosolf, Chairman of the MOSOLF Group, added: “The establishment of MOSOLF’s facility in Jafza represents an important step in our international growth strategy. The location, infrastructure and connectivity available here enable us to deliver high-quality, flexible vehicle processing services while supporting knowledge transfer and the development of local expertise in the UAE.”
Headquartered in Germany, MOSOLF operates an extensive network of centres across Europe and international markets for handling, processing and distributing finished vehicles.
The new Dubai site incorporates sustainability features including photovoltaic-powered lighting across the compound, with solar-powered electric vehicle charging infrastructure planned as part of its next phase of development.
The facility will process vehicles in line with established international automotive standards and will deliver tailored logistics and technical solutions supported by MOSOLF’s proven European operating model. It also includes a strong focus on knowledge transfer and the training of locally based teams as additional automotive capabilities are established in the UAE.
