Economic Zones World honours key partners and individuals for their support during International Desalination Association World Congress

Economic Zones World (EZW) hosted a lunch recently for UAE Ministries, Government Bodies and partners who extended their support to the company by contributing to the success of the International Desalination Association World Congress held last year.Held from November 7 to 12, 2009, the IDA World Congress, the premier global event for the desalination industry and the biggest conference of its kind in the region was hosted by TechnoPark.

Themed ‘Desalination for a Better World’, the event addressed over five days, global issues on water management, latest desalination technologies and environmental and energy impacts of desalination. It brought together leaders in all aspects of the desalination industry from around the globe including end-users, scientists, engineers, consultants, financiers and researchers representing the public and private sectors. A concurrent exhibition showcased the latest equipment and technology from 70 participating Companies from over 21 Countries.

Salma Hareb, CEO of EZW, Ibrahim Al Janahi, Chief Commercial Officer, Jafza and Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director of Dubai Institute of Technology - TechnoPark personally thanked all attendees for their support and involvement in the event and honoured specific individuals and corporations for their vital contributions.

Ibrahim Al Janahi, in his speech, thanked  local media representatives for the important role they played in promoting the event, especially Dubai Media Incorporated, which was represented in the event by Al Bayan and Emarat Al Youm News Papers and Sama Dubai TV.

EZW presented appreciation awards and certificates to representatives from the UAE Ministry of Energy, the UAE Ministry of Water and Environment, Protocol Department - Dubai,  Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Department of Naturalization and Residency , Dubai Civil Aviation Authority ,Centre of Ambulance Services, Dubai Convention Bureau, Meeting Minds, in addition to media partners, Al Bayan, Dubai TV, Sama Dubai and Emarat Al Youm. Additionally event management teams, PR consultants Worldview Communications and internal staff from EZW and TechnoPark were also recognized for their support.
